I have had a passion for helping people from a young age. My grade eight teacher was the one who suggested a counselling type profession was likely in my future. Once in post-secondary I knew I found my calling, Social Work. I am a Registered Social Worker who has worked in a variety of settings and a varying population. Including community and hospital settings. A large portion of my career has been working in a hospital supporting adults living with mental health struggles.

After personally having a fertility journey and seeking out individual therapy during this challenging time, I can relate to the all-consuming aspects of fertility. It can be draining-emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, and relationally. You do not need to navigate this difficult time in your life alone. I approach each client with the goal to help them discover their inner strength and resilience to work through life’s challenges.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches. My first task with clients is to identify what areas they are struggling with and I then determine which modality/approach could best suit them. Some approaches I draw on are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectial Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Theory, and Mindfulness. I take a trauma informed and strengths-based approach to each client. Specifically, in regards to infertility a great deal of work within sessions will be focused on psychoeducation.

I am based out of Midland Ontario. At this time I am offering sessions virtually for residents of Ontario. In person sessions can be arranged with advance notice in the Midland and Barrie area.

My goal with all my clients is that they feel heard, supported, understood, developing skills and strategies to work through the variety of challenges life can throw at them.
